We’d be lying if we said we hadn’t enjoyed the permanent tracksuit situation of the last nine (or is it ten?) weeks, but as lockdown continues to drag on we’re beginning to grow a little tired of them. Okay, not of “them”, but certainly of trying to get them washed and dried before Monday rolls around again. Why are they *so* unresponsive to the tumble dryer?
As we removed the last load from the drum this weekend and idly watched the cuffs as they dripped monotonously onto the floor beneath the rack, we reminisced about a time long ago when we made use of other cycles. Delicates, cool washes, wool washes… those were the days. Real clothes. Annoying care labels. We wondered when we might begin to wear real clothes again.
